When I was working with 3DMAX R3 and make my self an exporter plugin I was converting so.

_m11 _m12 _m13 _m11 _m12 _m13 0
_m21 _m22 _m23 _m21 _m22 _m23 0
_m31 _m32 _m33 _m31 _m32 _m33 0
0 0 0 1

If this don''t help I''ll look in my old arhives and give a pice of code.

All the y and z coordinates should be switched. So to convert
a 3ds matrix into a d3d matrix you''d do something like this:

t._11=m._11; t._12=m._13; t._13=m._12;
t._21=m._31; t._22=m._33; t._23=m._32;
t._31=m._21; t._32=m._23; t._33=m._22;
t._41=m._41; t._42=m._43; t._43=m._42;
