Newbie: BSP how to use, etc...

Hi all, Im a NEWBIE to OpenGL and just grasped BSP trees (I think). How do I use them/test my tree easily. I have just added FPS counting to see benefits and hoping that by using a BSP tree my FPS will show the benefits. All the information I have read so far explains what BSP trees are and how to create one. But none explain how you then use it or exactly step by step how to create a BSP class. Then use the tree built for drawing your OpenGL scene. Someone, please please, help me. Wayne Drury Swindon, ENGLAND

In mr-gamemaker.com there is good article about BSP construction and use.
There are a sample program with source code too.
