Water implementation

Hello everybody, I've got a stupid problem : I made a 3D game engine which looks like Quake 3 Arena's engine but I don't know how to add water! I thought to water like in a simple game with an effect like turbulences when looking outside the water but water on which waves and reflections can be added. It's certainly easy but I don't know what I have to do!!!! If someone could help me, thanks very muchh.

If you want nice & realistic water, you could use Environment-Mapped Bump Mapping (EMBM)... It gives wonderful result ! Else you should look into shaders.

There's a topic under the OpenGL forum which talk about EMBM... You should go there !
