OpenAL sound
I just got to using OpenAL, and I see it is pretty easy to use, much easier than the directX version to me. My problem though is a need of music. WAVs are too big for music, .ogg would work, but I want to try MID. I have a program to compose MIDI music very easily, so if how can I load an MID into OpenAL buffers?
AFAIK, you need a MIDI synthesizer or Sound Fonts, which basically transform MIDI notes to WAV data. MIDI files contain a set of instructions not actual sound format.
Or
You could convert MIDI to Ogg first using an external program then play it.
