Hi, I want to add some .spr files into my java game (sprites). How exactly would I load it in and display it? Would I just load it with the same syntax as if I was loading a regular picture? Please help! Thanks.

What did you mean by *.spr ? Which program export to a such file ? I can't help you if you don't go more in details about the *.spr files...

Tell me what application your using to handle *.spr format and I will try to help you.

One of these, perhaps?

You'll most probably need to use a FileInputStream to read the file. You then need to manually parse though the files contents in byte form, and translate them. This will, of course, require you to know the files format... On this, I can't help you...

I found a .spr file on the internet. It seems that it is a well-known format for sprites. But, I wasn't sure if it could be handled like a .jpg or whatever.

Its probably a game-specific file format (or worse, a common file extension used by multiple programs each with their own file format). Unless you know how it was created you can't open it.

Do you really need to use these magic .spr files though? Odds are you can make things simpler and easier just loading png/gif/etc. files.
