I was wondering if anyone had a good place (preferrable free and online) to learn how to use C++ to connect to a relational database? Say like MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server. I know how to do this in Java, but my C++ book library doesn't have any info on it. Thank you all for you time! Snorky

the mySQL docs / program comes with an API and a whole slew of documentation about how to set it up and use it (complete with code examples). basically the specific vendor will provide and API to you and you can access it that way directrly from your program. there may be a more generic way to do it, but I'm pretty sure there isn't. so just go to whichever vendor you will be using and download their SDK.
