# XYZ to UV an vice versa

Given the information about the 3 vertices of a triangle: their XYZ coordiantes and their UV texture coordinates what would be the easiest way to caclute following: 1. XYZ coordiantes of a point inside a triangle Given its UV coordinates 2. UV coordinates of a point inside a triangle given its XYZ coordiantes(these XYZ coordinates definitely lie within the triangle) Any thoughts. I'm sure its an old and solved problem but I can't seem to find any explicit texts on the topic. Thanks for any replies

I'm pretty sure it's in Graphics Gems, I couldn't tell you which volume, though.

Try searching the forum archives. I'm sure this has been covered here before. I would use the following search terms:

"triangle uv"
"barycentric coordinates"

The latter search phrase should give you many more links via google.
