Direct3D 8 and 9 Header Problems

Hello there! Im trying to write renderers in both direct3d 8 and 9 in one dll. I have to include the main classes of each renderer in order create whicever renderer I request. Each of these classes #include d3d8.h and d3d9.h respectively. Thing is it compiles fine if I just include one of the main classes and its Direct3D header ( i.e either d3d8.h or d3d9.h). If I #include both it messaes up. I know why it messes up, all the redefinitions and so on. What I would like to know if if anyone can help me find a workaround for this? Thanks

I agree with DrunkenHyena... but I'm pretty sure that d3d9.h includes the interface definitions for D3D8 as well. Try using d3d9.h exclusively.
