Hi, in my character creation dialog in win32 api, it's being a bitch. The combo boxes won't display the data listed inside of it, nor it won't display the bitmap I have placed in the image control. Testing the layout works on VC++ 6.0, but compiling it and testing it - it is blank. Any insight on this will be appreciated. Til then, ta ta! Phil ps. Yes, I resized the height of the combo box.

i can't really help you, but you might want to post more details. I think that will be a little vague even for the experts to solve.

What else is there to say? I entered data items in the combo box, did what the help said as in pressing CTRL+ENTER, and enter next data item. I test the layout, it works. I compile it, it doesn't work. Same issue with the picture. From what I read in the past, this is a common issue anyone can easily suggest what they did to fix this.

The original drop down box would be set as -1 that shows nothing - set the correct default value
What sort of variable did you use?

or did you accidentally make it owner-drawn.

Ahah, MSDN answered.

"Because Win32 projects do not have libraries that add this capability, you must add values to a combo box with a Win32 project programmatically."

Bah.

I had a drop list set like this...
item1;item2;item3;

No owner draw. What value?

I remember someone had this working though.
