what? jim adams 3rd person?

is there a book by jim adams that will give me the knowledge of a flawless fzero type 3rd person camera? i have a 3rd person sceme, but it jitters at times, which is annoying, and id love it if someone would give me a tutorial on it or book or tutorial(heh)

There are some great camera tutorials at Game Tutorials

There is no 3rd person for DirectX yet but it should be coming soon. You should be able to port the OpenGL one with not too much effort.

Hehe a book on using a 3rd person camera... If ya want fluid motion use some quarternions and their ever useful slerp circular interpolation. If you want it not inside a wall or in an obstructing viewing position, that is a tougher story. But using some segment tests you can be as good as 90% of all the game out.

Of all of your 3d gaming problems 3rd person camera should rate fairly low, and can be done with a good understanding of 3d math.
