I'm using DirectShow to play AVI files .. I have this code when the user clicks on 'Play': m_pVideoWindow->put_Visible(OATRUE); //line-1 m_pGraph->QueryInterface(IID_IMediaControl, (void **)&m_pMediaControl); //line-2 m_pMediaControl->Run(); //line-3 m_pMediaControl->Release(); //line-4 I have this problem now when the user clicks on 'Play' I do not want the video to be shown but want the media to continue running in the background so that I could determine the current position in the AVI by using: m_pMediaSeeking->GetCurrentPosition(&lPos); and then use this 'lPos' for some other purpose .. Is this possible? ... I tried playing with line-1 (removing or placing false) but to no effect .. line-2 is the one which creates the display .. if I remove that , I would not be able to execute line-3, without which I will not be able to determine the current position in the AVI file ... Any hints plz?? ..
