Hello. My boss told me to convert our OpenGL Java Engine to use Java version 1.1 instead of version 1.4 to ensure maximal compability. However, Java 1.1 for Windows can not load signed JAR-files but after a couple hours of research, I found out that I can sign CAB-files and specify a flag in my HTML-code. Now to the problem: I managed to sign the CAB-file, but my clean installation of Windows98 Second Edition (Internet Explorer 5) can not find my main class inside the signed CAB-file.
<APPLET width = 640 height=480 archive="LeanEngine.jar" code=LeanEngine.class>
<param name="CABBASE" value="LeanEngine.cab">

Can someone give me a hint? Is there something I've forgotten or am I just stupid?
