Hi, I couldn't load the hand shape for my cursor. I use: SetCursor(LoadCursor(NULL, IDC_HAND)); but win98 and winXP seem don't recognize that value. Please, how could I show the hand cursor on my application? Thanks in advance.

OK, the IDC_HAND seems to be standard only in Windows 2000. I think I must create my own cursor.

It works (together with some other WinNT/2000 functionalities) if you define WINVER 0x0500.

You're not supposed to do this but why not if it works and doesn't have any bad consequences.

BTW, i think WinXP is a NT-based OS, if so it really shouldn't matter defining WINVER 0x0500 (as long as you don't mind WinXP only).

WINVER 0x0500 means win 98 and higher and NT 5 and higher. The win 95 series ends with 98 and NT ends with XP, so the compatibility should be win98, NT 5, 2k, XP

And yes - IDC_HAND worked on my 98, when I was using it [smile]
