I'm using some code developed for the microsoft c++ compiler and it uses 64 bit integers (__int64) how do I implement that type in gcc (on windows)?

See stdint.h (or boost's cstdint) for portable [u]int64_t types. __int64 and long long are both compiler specific extensions (I compile all my programs in gcc with -Werror -ansi, so it would not accept long long if I wanted ...).
