How to implement shadow volume in DirectX .x animate file

Now I will make a shadow volume in my game demo But I found when I use Skin animate to make shadow volume have some problem 1 I don't know how to access skin animate object 's GetSysMemMesh() object when I access LPD3DXMESHCONTAINER->GetSysMemMesh() will found access error Please tell me how to do????
