Hi and thank you for your help i was just woundering what is the diff in 3d max 6 ($3,000) and the student one($149.00 1yr lic.) they say that you dont get pro results and then theres another one for ($600.00)and it has a (perpetual license)what is that? is it worth 600.00 which one should i buy

I don't know the exact differences for 3ds max, but in most cases, student versions are almost (if not completely) the same as the professional versions, with the exception that you cannot use the products of the program for profit.

Simply put, if you want to learn 3d modelling and animation, get the student version. If you want to use your models for a game and make money from it, you'll need the professional version.
