I was thinking, maybe if we find that alot of programmers on this site are setting us questions about similar examples and asking how to do things, the better programmers on here could submit the solutions into an open source project. The project could be managed by just 2 or 3 people, of which i'd be happy to be one, and compiled into a DLL or static lib and supplied along with the source, monthly. Also if anyone has written code that they feel would be useful to alot of other programmers and they wish to make it open source, like full program code or full routines, they could enquire about adding it to the library. This project could easily be on going and i have webspace to store it on as a mirror if necessary. Sometimes its easy to be told how something is done, but until u see it hard coded, its tricky to understand and work through. Granted the SDKs are usually pretty good but they cant hold everything. If anyone has any comments or suggestions about this idea, go YELL them :) ace

It's possible that it may be revived, I started a thread about it a few months ago. I wouldn't hold my breath, but it'd be good to see it make some progress.

It would be as simple as getting commit permission from cpman or risingdragon3. Or, if you're really motivated, to get project admin permission.
