Hi i am Zimond. Today i have released my point&click editor for creating classic 2d point&click adventure like the ones from lucasgames. The editor and the gameengine were both done with delphi7, powergrafx 2.4 and bass 2.0 here is a feature list : -Resolutions : 320x240, 640x480, 800x600. -Filetype Support : Bmp, Jpg, Gif, Png, Wav, Mp3, Ogg, and all moduletracks. -A usefull scripting language that allows you even to make minigames. -Creates stand alone games. -Of course you can add speech to your characters. -Can also be used for making games like myst without characters. You can get the editor and a short demoadventure under : http://pacdk.gamezworld.de/english.html

Hey this is some great stuff! I'm currently designing a mystery game that uses almost verbatim the same control system as the one you developed. I may be in contact with you in the near future for licensing talks. [smile]

I got a similar message, but clicking Ok 500 times until the actual game started seemed to solve that. Once the intro was done, I had no problem controlling.

F$%&

It seems that some systems have problems with a "," actually i would never use "," instead of "." but since it worked i haven't noticed this. Maybe because i only have tested it on german systems and in german you use "," instead of "." so the systems might accept it, damn.

Please download the ADZ file of the demoadventure and change "wait (2,5)" to "wait (2.5)" in the start cutscene or wait until i could correct the download files... sorry. :(

im sure you know that, but just in case... in delphi you can use
DecimalSeparator:='.';
to override sytems default setting.

i ve found a black rectangle appearing once it was almost fullscreen big.

//edit : downloaded form there http://gwdateien2.free.fr/images/testadv.exe about 2000 CEST

mmhhh... this seems to be a 256x256 piece. actually the engine divides all images bigger than 256x256 into pattern. i saw familar bugs when i tested the game on an old ATI Rage Pro.

I guess you have a newer GFX card?
Is it the only room where this happens?
and is this bug always present in this room? (and in windowed mode?)

Oh, i forgot... you can add -window to the batch file to prevent fullscreen.
Sorry for that bunch of questions ;)

1.the card is based on radeon 8500 (aka 9100) so it is quite old.
2.no, it also hapenned in 'test 3' room.
3.no, it is not always present in this room.
that screenshot was taken when the character came from cellar room.
the rectangle has disappeared when i left the room and returned.
i did not notice this bug in windowed mode.

do you mean that '2,5 ist kein gultiger gleitkommawert' bug ?
i dont get it and i have never got it before. maybe because the default decimal separator in polish version of windows is the comma.

btw, my firewall says that your application connects to crl.microsoft.com... eh ?
