I was browsing a book store yesterday called "begginging graphics game programming" or something like that. it uses dev C++ and allegro for the tutorials. I am interested in starting in graphics, and want to use allegro. however, I have no experience in graphics or allegro whatsoever. any help? I would like the games to be console apps.

I hear "Game Programming All In One", Second Edition (Jonathan Harbour) is pretty good. It covers Allegro...

Stupid links... just search for it on Amazon. :-)

Well, if you can't afford a book then you'll have to do what I did to learn allegro. Download it, read the documentation and start looking over the example programs. After a while you'll start to catch on.

clicky 1
