I have been working on making a solar system simulator. When i try to drop planets into orbit around the star they appear to have huge energy loses i was woundering if anyone knew anywhere i could find good information on implementing interapartical atraction.

particle systems, and other timestepped numerical approximation schemes, tend to have energy losses and other such innacuracies

since youre doing a very specialized problem of a solar system
you might be better off simulating it with direct formulas for that kind of motion, kepler's laws and stuff
well... the kinds of energy loses i am having are very severe... i am guessing it is because of my method i used for the particulate atraction... i am still in search of any resorces
