Hi. In the near future I wanna find job in games industry. Currently my main focus area are simulations: particles, rigid body dynamics, fluids and mel, and I use Maya for that. I wonder is game industry need people who know something about that stuff or rather not? Is game companies use Maya and need people with this knowledge? Is game companies use Maya for particles or dynamics? Should I stay with Maya+particles or rather start to learn C++? Is it worth stay with Maya or rather not? Specially I would like to make VFX for consoles like PS2 or Nintendo. Greetz Rafal

There far to much ppl that want to work in the games industry.
You must be extremely good to make you're work from it :/
It won't pay much and you'll need to work ALOT with VERY long days and almost no spare time.

no thanks... I'm a hobby programmer and if I might get good in the future I'm gonna make free games or programs and I might even make open source programs / games (if I have time for it and when I still like programming).

I would recommend everybody to NOT work in the games industry exept when you have talent and when you REALY REALY like the programming and games ;)
