Okay, I am designing a game and I am trying to find a good example of a isometric in C# but I seem cannot find one at all lol... Anyway What would be the best way to build this isometric world, It is kinda like Utilma's Online Isometric world... Or i should say it is pretty close... Anyway How would I do it? Arrays? umm DirecX I cannot get DirectX 9.0 sources for the SDK cuz of Windows ME, :( I hate it but oh well Working on get a new computer anyway hehe... Any guides would be great to get me started :P

well any of the articles in the gamedev archive under iso/tile programming? there's plenty of stuff there

oh and i'v heard good things about isometric game programming with directX...it's not all directX stuff so still will be of use....hmm not c# either if i recall

I was toying with the idea of BSPs a la Doom for an iso game. Thus, the level editor would be fairly straight forward (to use, not to make). You would only have to worry about one side of the walls you can see and you could, in theory, move the camera in 3 dimensions.
