ASCII code for CTRL ??

hi, simple question. is there an ASCII code the the CTRL key? either left or right, or both would be fine. i cant seem to find this on any of the ascii tables ive looked at, including asciitable.com. google and this forum's search dont seem to help either.thanks for any help.

No, there isn't. Ctrl is one of the modifier keys on the keyboard, along with Shift and Alt. When depressed, they alter the scan code generated by "regular keys". They do have scan codes of their own, though.

Obviously, scan codes are not ASCII codes. ASCII is concerned with printable and print control characters only. Ctrl is meaningless in an output context. There's no ASCII code for Shift either.
