I installed the Lua Bianaries from lua.org, and i told the VC++ 7 to include the lib and exe files for lua, but the compiler is giving me an error saying it cant find lua.h, luax.h, or lualib.lib I normally wouldnt have an issue, but i just switched laptops and basically did the exact same install of the lua .lib files as on the old one and it worked fine...any ideas, or am i missing something completely?

Do you mean you specified the executables/libraries paths from the Tools->Options menu, under Projects->VC++ Directories? If so, did you add the directory for the includes directory, as well?

I've not used Lua, but I'm guessing that could be an issue. Also, have you tried searching google, using keywords from your build errors? I find that 99% of the time, that yields relevant information.

The only thing I can suggest then, is try to distinguish anything different between what you did on your main PC and your laptop. There has to be a reason it's not working on one, but works on the other.

If that still doesn't resolve the issue, perhaps talk to a moderator to get this post moved to the Scripting forum. Maybe someone will be better placed to help you there.

You cant use lua with just the binaries package(if indeed it doesnt come with the headers... I can't remember right now).

Youll need to download a package that has the headers and add the includes directory to your includes tab.
