Hi, is there an easy way to open files that are on the internet? I tried just opening a file using the full url (html://blablabla/blabla/bla.htm) but that seemed far too easy to work and it didn't. Any help would be appreciated!

it's not so simple. you have to get the IP address from the URL, open a socket connection to the other server, write the http request, get the data from the server, parse the data and save the file.

but there are many libraries which can do the whole work for you. libcurl (http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/) is very good.
