moving object along it's own axis

Hello... This problem have had me dumbstruck for a good three hours now. I've got everything I need figured out, except for how to move an object along it's own axis. My last attemp was this: Pos_Matrix = Pos_Matrix * Inv_Rot_Matrix * Mov_Matrix * Rot_Matrix; This, however, causes it to move in very strange ways. So how do I do it?

If I understand you correctly, you should apply the translation matrix before the other transformations. Now you are probably doing rotation before translation, which does the translation in world space.
