I was told that Delphi is free (at least older editions). However, I've navigated the Borland website through and through but cannot find this mysterious older edition of Delphi. Can someone help me?

You can get the Personal edition of Delphi for free on the Borland site.

It isn't free for download anymore and hasn't been for a while, though I don't know why.
BTW ALL versions of Delphi Personal Edition are free, they're just a bit more limited than Enterprise, but for non-webdevelopers it's not that important.
You can only get the PE's from magasigns and such at this moment.

You mean they're not releasing older editions for free anymore? [sad]

It's on a college website.. so it can't be bad to have it there.
