Release EffectHandle s when releasing Effect?

Should I Dispose (delete in C++) EffectHandles (ID3DXEffectHandle) when I Dispose the Effect? I am asking here because MDX is just a wrapper for DX, so maybe you can help. Does this also mean that I must release the EffectPool (ID3DXEffectPool) because it will hold handles to effect parameters? EDIT: changed . to ? !
