I'm spending a lot of time learning directdraw7, and I am understanding everything in the text book. However I've come accross an error compiling a demo from my book. I'm wondering why I am getting this error. When I run the executable on the cd it runs it, but it will not compile a .exe when I try to build it from the .cpp. Is there anyone who can help? I'm new to directx, and am very determined to get this down. If someone would be willing to look at the code, or tell me what these compilation errors mean please let me know. I don't know any programmers except the ones I work with, and they're all anti-social. regards- de-mystiX p.s. Here are the errors I'm getting from my compiler... --------------------Configuration: directx - Win32 Debug-------------------- Compiling... demo6_2.cpp D:\T3DGameR1\Source\T3DCHAP06\demo6_2.cpp(59) : error C2146: syntax error : missing ';' before identifier 'lpdd' D:\T3DGameR1\Source\T3DCHAP06\demo6_2.cpp(59) : error C2501: 'LPDIRECTDRAW7' : missing storage-class or type specifiers D:\T3DGameR1\Source\T3DCHAP06\demo6_2.cpp(59) : fatal error C1004: unexpected end of file found Error executing cl.exe. directx.exe - 3 error(s), 0 warning(s)

If you check the appendix of the book, I'm pretty sure it gives you instructions on how to set up your environment to get the code to compile.
