I need to inherit from an abstract class inside a dll. Now the problem is that this wont work. Is there any way around this. Possibly some way to redefine the class in the exe? -CProgrammer

Ok here goes:

I have an abstract class 'CObject' in my dll.
Now anything that has to do with objects I derive from that.
The problem is that not only classes inside the dll(engine) need to inherit from CObject. The classes in the exe do to.
It seems however that inheriting from an imported class is dangerous(it gives a warning). How can I get around this?

It will cause the program to crash if the DLL and EXE are compiled with different compilers, or even different versions of the same compiler. Copy and paste part of the warning (a part without any program-specific class or variable names) into google, and if that dosn't solve your problem, try posing the full warning text so WE can try googling it, or at least better know what you're talking about, because you're still not being descriptive enough.
