C++ documentation generators anyone?
you can try doxygen. It dosen't plug into visual studio but its very easy to use. Just give it the root directory of your source fiels and walla.

For visual C++ there is "doxybar" plugin which creates and runs the nessesary file for doxygen.. have a look for it at sourceforge.net
I use it and think its pretty good :)
You will have to download doxegen and doxybar.. it's not that large tho ;)

Thanks for the suggestions. I downloaded doxygen and I'll start looking into setting up my project to use it.
Just so you know that there are other options out there, I've been using NaturalDocs for my source code doc and have been pleased with it. For example output, you can look at my doc here.
by the way, when doxygen is mentioned this moment:
does anyone know a forum or something else ?
i do really need an essential information about how to put a link to a file directly in the left treeview, below all items, as no "expanding"-node, but as pure link.
for example:
i tried already mailing the author, but i didn't get any response; even with the second mail, no answer.
i read the manual, but no help on this topic.
perhaps it may be impossible, but *sigh* then it would cool if the author could have mentioned this.
any hints ?

Well there's the Doxygen help forum on sourceforge and the doxygen-users mailing list here. Post your question on one of those.
Does anyone know which generator created documentation for Boost::Spirit and/or Boost:Python? They have excellent design.
