Hi all. I created a .cpp and a .h file which i'd like to use in more programs. I placed these files in the \VC98\Include\ folder, but i get unresolved external errors. It seems like the compiler can't find the .cpp file. Should i copy it to every program? Guess there is a better way. I don't want to make a .lib file, cause i want to be able to make changes while debugging. Please help. Marty

If you create another project for the lib file you can add that project as a dependency to your other project, this way VC will keep the .lib up to date

Rather than putting it in microsoft's include directory, make your own, somewhere completely different and add the include directory using Tools->Options->Directories.

You'll have to add the cpp to every project unless you build a library.

You could build a library in its own project and add the project to your workspace. Then make your application depend upon the library project and it will re-link automatically when any changes are made.
