i need some help its important
i got the next error message from my softimage software " missing opengl extension ARB_multitexture" i dont know what to do please someone help me thnx.
So you maybe need a better 3D card.
Whats ur model?
ARB_multitexture is an extension for openGL 1.2 (or 1.3 maybe), it's quite "old" now. If you have a gforce3 or higher it must be good. (maybe does it work with a gforce2)
hope that helps

--- EDIT ----
next time put a better subject like "missing opengl extension ARB_multitexture" and not "help me plz" because no one knows which subject is ur thread or which is your problem. So not many people will look.

It's almost certainly defaulting to the MS driver, which would suggest that your driver isn't correctly installed. Uninstall it properly, make sure you have the correct motherboard AGP driver if necessary, and try again.
ARB_multitexture even works on the TNT BTW.

See here - it runs as far back as voodoo 3 (although my memory is hazy and that's probably at the same level as the TNT2. *shrug*).

The point about the MS driver is that if he's using it, there must be a problem with his hardware driver. The MS driver is a software driver with very few extensions. However AFAIK the MS driver works exactly as it should.
It is of amazing importance that the previous graphics driver be uninstalled before installing a new nVidia driver. Every single time I have omitted that, I've lost all hardware acceleration.
It's easy enough to fix - just uninstall and re-install the newest driver.
