OpenGL Texturing with openGL ES

Hi, I've been trying to load images and convert them to textures with openGL ES but haven't been successful. (texturing works with the self generated "checkboard texture") I tried with the BREW sdk and now I'm working with Embedded visual c++. I've tried: AUX_RGBImageRec *pBitmap = NULL; pBitmap = auxDIBImageLoad(strFileName); and the tga.c/tga.h loader. (and the openIL) Some changes have to be made because of the SDK's ?
