Steam Hardware Survey

In case someone who is programming a game and likes to know what hardware is used nowadays should take a look at this poll if he hasn't already:
http://www.steampowered.com/status/survey.html (sorry I'm too lazy to linkify, copy and paste into address field).
Of course the sample biased, since it is based on people who play Half-Life and its different mods such as CS and DoD etc. Still I think it is somehow representative of what hardware you can expect a normal gamer to posses when it comes 3D capabilities etc.

My guess is that it is some kind of rounding error, or error from when the samples were gathered (the total samples figured might be less than the actual received samples for some reason). When I posted the link it was "only" at 100.01%.
I like how they have overlapping areas in the RAM specs, those overlaps being precicely at some of the more common RAM levels:
Do I fall into the 128-256 or the 256-512 category? To find out I checked my system info rightclick thingy of my computer:
523,808 KB - or the 2nd. This is assuming all the numbers are using the same "Kilos", and not differing ones (aka, one using "official" Kilobytes (1KB = 1000B), the other using 1KiB* = 1024B)
*KiB is the official abbreviation for this version of kilobytes I believe if memory serves me right...
edit: same idea with the processor speeds, although since it's finer grained it's less of an issue - my linux server box is 600mhz, falling into both the 500-600 and 600-700 categories apparently - although it'll probably end up in the 2nd (as manufactures couuld get sued for providing a tad too little, yes?) and my main box @ 1.4ghz, falling into either 1.3-1.4, or more likely 1.4-1.5.

The fact that the Geforce 4 MX is the most common card really makes me cry [crying]. Other than that, very interesting... Some of the numbers did surprise me quite a bit, for example I would have thought more people would still be using older versions of windows than XP.

It does. KiB means 2^10 bytes.

There some wierd errors with the results, but other than that it's pretty cool to see what poeple use.... but I'm sad that ATI doesnt have the most users :(

I would assume it follows this [first column, second column) convention.
