Im looking for some free multiplayer strategy games in the style of age of empires. With multiplayer I mean playable over ip address. Any ideas suggestions. -CProgrammer

Free? Not happening. I'd suggest getting a job and waiting until the release of LOTR Battle for Middle Earth.

I don't know about Age of Empires, but there's always The uber Civilization clone - FreeCiv.

Read on the download page. A third-party dude does native ports, roughly 1 version behind the "last stable" releases.
