hello i write a smtp client winform (using socket connect to smtp server at port 25),and deploy it to iis by NTD (no-touch deployment),i can launch the form from the client machine, when i want to connect to the smtp server, the security exception is thrown,i know that i have not assigned the socket permission in the client side to the downloaded assembly, but i don't know how to do that, who can give me a step-by-step instruction. any help will be appreciated.

This is not very difficult but there lots of options:
1. allow all .NET assemblies that are downloaded to access the network.
2. allow just your assembly to access the network.
3. allow all your assemblies to access the network.
4. ...

You should fully understand what you are doing as you are setting security options!

Writing down a complete description is impossible because I don't know what options you want and because MS wrote it already: read this and if you have questions just post them and I'll try to answer.

Cheers
