where do i get DirectX? Does it have a tutorial?

1. The DirectX SDK is available for download from http://msdn.microsoft.com/directx

2. Yes, the SDK contains tutorials for each major component of DirectX.

3. There are many other tutorials and resources to help you too. A good place to start is with the FAQ for this forum: http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/showfaq.asp?forum_id=10

A) never name a thread "help"
B) http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/ and click "DirectX 9.0c is here"
C) the directx sdk have more than just a tutorial. same tutorials you can find in msdn.microsoft.com

Although the SDK does have some introductory tutorials, there are also some really good ones out there on the web. The best introductory tutorials I have seen are DrunkenHyena and Andy Pike. You can find a comprehensive list of sites here.
