I have my winsock all set up properly, as far as I know, but when I fire it off it does read events when there is no data on the port (even if I unplug the cable it does this). What did I do to throw my winsock GetOverlappedEvents handler into this strange eternal read mode? Thanks -fel

Are you saying that you get async "there is data to read" events when there isn't, or are you saying that doing a recv() returns data, but garbage data?

or recv is returning without data when there is no data to be read, which is expected for nonblock...
