I am trying to compile a project and I am receiving the following linking error: LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'libcp.lib' What I want to do is just tell the compiler to ignore this .lib file (i.e. don't try and link to it). I was reading an old thread (http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=269777&whichpage=1) which discusses this issue and apperantly I can safely ignore this .lib file (according to this thread). The problem is, I don't know how to stop the compiler from trying to link to this file. Does anyone know how to do this?

In MSVC: goto project settigns (alt+F7), Link tab, and in the edit box at the bottom, add /nodefaultlib:"libcp". Assuming its a defualt library like libc.
I keep getting loads of these damn linker errors thanks to STLPort and SDL not playing niceply together...
