I'm creating a game engine using DirecX8 on Visual Basic that'll support video media, as well as MP3's using DirectShow (for those who don't know, it is the "ActiveMovie control type library" located in the reference library, which is also a part of DirectX8). What I have right now is perfect in Windowed mode, but in fullscreen mode, the video display blinks. I have it playing directly on the form. It blinks when the swap effect is D3DSWAPEFFECT_FLIP as well as D3DSWAPEFFECT_COPY_VSYNC. Is there anyway I can eliminate the flicker of the video in fullscreen mode? Also another question I have is that, well I'm not sure if this is possible, but I also want the video media to display on a polygonal surface, whether it's LIT_VERTEX or TL_VERTEX. Thanks.
