Hi. I am writing a prgm that uses google to query it's database. I am using java right now because it has nice built in web support, and runs on all sorts of systems. I am able to get website urls, but i need a way to get the source from those websites. Does anyone know how to do this in java? I would prefer not having to use any 3rd party libraries.

When you retrieve a web page, what you get is HTML source. Your browser [component] then renders that in a useful fashion for the user.

There are server-side technologies that generate HTML as a result of being processed by the server. You can't retrieve the sources to such technologies (ASP, PHP, etc.)

Have you ever heard of the word "initiative"? Or the acronym "RTFM"? I'm not going to go hunting in the JDK docs for you; that's your job.
