Hi, As there wasn't a forum on Crytography I thought this forum would be best for it. Does anybody know any good books/websites for learning non-programming related cryptography? Thanks in Advance TomX

The following books are the books recommended by my crypto professor:

W. Trappe and L. C. Washington, Introduction to Cryptography with Coding Theory. This is our class's main textbook, it's a very comprehensive book that does a very good job covering the information and giving most of the mathematics behind it.

D. R. Stinson, Cryptography: Theory and Practice, Second Edition. CRC

B. Schneier, Applied Cryptography, Protocols, Algorithms and Source Code in C. I, personally, am not a huge fan of this book as it does not really go into the technical details very well.

A. J. Menezes, P. van Oorschot, and S. Vanstone, Handbook of Applied Cryptography. Literally, The Handbook, this book is absurdly good for going deep into detail. It is available online here.
