Howdy yall, i'm using CodeWarrior v.7 and i am getting the error "Couldn't generate source code because Java Virtual Machine could not be started". I have no clue why the JVM can't get started, maybe there is a common error i dont know of? Thanks -cowboy

well, just to cover the basics:
is the sdk installed properly?
is your ide properly aware of the sdk (i don't know how to do this, i don't use one for java?
does it work when you go to the command line and type "javac file.java"?

if you don't know how to compile from the command line, i suggest you try to figure that out, it's useful for when the ide breaks.

i had this problem with netbeans. first - make sure you've set the paths on the ide correctly (to the java package on your computer). if this doesn't work, make sure you've downloaded the latest jsdk from sun microsystems - j1.2.5 i think is the download you want. and when you install it, just let it run and don't try to exit if it does not appear to be doing anything - bad things happen ;(. then try to re-install your ide.
<edit :: make sure that the jvm on your computer is actually installed - do a search on "my computer" for java>
