Just looking at turbo, it is updated very regularly, has plenty of content, why, unlike all the other alive gamedev hosted sites, would this forum die?

This forum shouldn't die. But it should become a Delphi/FreePascal/GNUPascal forum because turbopascal is a bit outdated. I think that's the reason why there are not many posts in this forum.
Yeah, maybe they should just rename the forum "Delphi/Pascal".

Turbo definitly isn't the best name for this forum.

;)
I ask for help and you give me a book? I hate book. Book is stupid. Also known as Yellow at the Dark Basic forums.
Well, the name turbo was chosen to make it obvious that this forum is related to http://turbo.gamedev.net. I understand that the name might suggest that this is in fact a Turbo Pascal forum, but if you look at the posts that people made here in the past, you will see that a lot of them are related to Delphi. I believe the main reason why this forum is dying is because there is a very strong forum called DGDev (http://www.dgdev.tk) and because the independent game development scene in general has become a bit quiet. I'm sure this is all just a temporary thing, but I doubt that this forum will ever be as active again as it has been, at least as long as DGDev is around.
Don't get me wrong though, I don't mind the "competition" from DGDev at all. I post there every once in a while and I think it's a great website.

If you gents are looking for an *all* Pascal game development site, I'd strongly suggest going to www.DGDev.tk. In a few months time it will have completely merged with www.delphigamer.com(a very popular and quite active news site on all things PASCAL, not just Delphi anymore).

Things are in the 'end stages' of a merger that started a little over a year ago on DGDev. Once the new site is up it'll have the same forums(none of it's older content will be lost), news listings(as of that on DelphiGamer, with a few enhancements), articles written by Staff members themselves, AND a 'Library' deticated to translating, restoring, updating and safekeeping any and all tutorials and materials that are of use to the game developer who uses Pascal(and inclusively any variant of Pascal ie. Object Pascal).

The name of the site will be 'Pascal Game Development' or PGD for short. The site, when up, will be accessable from both of the older URLs(www.dgev.tk and www.delphigamer.com) for at least a year or so. There is a lot of existing traffic on both sites and if anything Pascal interests you, those are the places to visit.
