OpenGL Setting the refresh rate.

How can I force the monitor into a specific refresh rate? Is this even a thing OpenGL can control or should I be looking else where? Also how to I make it wait for the monitor to refresh before it swaps the buffers, in other words how do it make it V-sync?

yes, it is OS specific, on windows it relies on a win32 function whos name i have forgotten atm [grin]

I do know NeHe uses it in his base code to change screen rez
