[.net] Loading graphics from DLL

Hello, I have made a DLL with all my graphics and I want to load the graphics within an application. How do I load them? Also how would I do sound affects? Thanks, Rob

Have a look at loading resources, this will tell you what you need.

I do not have an example at the moment but will look for one.

A quick example of how I loaded icons for a custom toolbar:


//
// Load icons
//
Stream iconStream = null;
Bitmap ico = null;

Assembly a = Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly();

string[] resNames = a.GetManifestResourceNames();

foreach (string s in resNames)
{
if (s.EndsWith(".ico"))
{
iconStream = a.GetManifestResourceStream(s);
if (iconStream != null)
{
ico = Bitmap.FromStream(iconStream) as Bitmap;

if (ico != null)
{
il.Images.Add(ico);
imageNames.Add(s);
}
}

ico = null;
iconStream.Close();
iconStream = null;
}
}




Make sure you set the Build Action to Embedded Resource.
