hello! I tried to implement some effect for vertex shader 2.0 hardware with EffectEdit. my GeForce 4600Ti does not support shader model 2, so I tried to use vs_2_sw for compilation (i.e. VertexShader = compile vs_2_sw VS(); ) but I just get the message "Warning: technique not valid with current device settings". So... exactly because of this I want to use the software implementation :) maybe I didn't understand it, but should vs_2_sw not work on any hardware?
