Hi. I waas planning on writing a program under MS-VC++, but my "supervisors" simply ordered me to do it under linux. SO does anyone know a good library offering similar "usefullness" as MS WINAPI (or even MFC, but that's too much)? I mean (virtualizable) callback handling, as keypressing, or mouseclicks. Thanks. /def

Pick a GUI library and use that. I suggest either Qt, GTK, or wxWidgets. wxWidgets also has things for file handling, but you can do that with standard function in linux (you'll have to look in your distro's help section (if it has an easily accessable one) and go from there).
