Hi there, I'm having a problem trying to compile the projects I've downloaded from GameTutorials. I'm using Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition Beta on a Windows XP machine, and when ever I try to build a projects, it always fails saying
Compiling...
cl : Command line warning D9002 : ignoring unknown option '/YXstdafx.h'
YourName.c
YourName.c(36) : warning C4996: 'scanf' was declared deprecated
D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\include\stdio.h(276) : see declaration of 'scanf'
Linking...
LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'odbc32.lib'
Any ideas why this is? By the way, Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition Beta asked me to convert the projects first, because it was written in and older version. Could this be the problem? Thanks in advance, Spud Gun

Do you have the file "odbc32.lib" in your compilers lib directory?

If not you can get it here.

As for the warnings, I'm not sure about the first one, but you could use the newer cin/cout objects to handle streams instead of scanf to get rid of the other one.
